Charitable Trusts
Charitable trusts are set up to hold money or assets and carry out activities for the benefit of the community. They can be formed for the purpose of:

A charitable trust, as registered by the Charities Commission can gain tax free status when approved by the IRD. Registered charities can also accept donations from New Zealanders and provide the donor with a tax deduction.
